Swedish model condemns her 'absurd' industry after she is deemed 'way too big'

‘It’s absurd and I hate it,’ the 19-year-old says in a disturbing YouTube video where she claims brands have refused to book her because of her measurements, telling her to ‘get in shape’. This, despite the fact that her BMI is 17.5, which is classified as underweight.

In the video, Agnes says she’s had to give up modelling full-time as she’s struggling to get jobs after nearly five years in the industry. She’s been working as a model since the age of just 15 and came third in Sweden’s Next Top Model only last year.

Bellefaire JCB 2nd Look at Homeless Youth

Shoppers in a new "pop up" store in Cleveland got a pretty unexpected message from the mannequins in a stunt devised to highlight youth homelessness for child services organization Bellefaire JCB.

The campaign, by Doner Advertising, created a store called "2nd Look" in an upscale suburban Cleveland shopping mall, where unsuspecting shoppers were introduced to "live" mannequins portraying homeless teens. Inside the store, sales associates introduced shoppers to the life-like mannequins by explaining their stories, while tags on the clothing, including those worn by the mannequins, displayed disturbing statistics about homeless youth.

The stunt looks to have induced some genuinely strong reactions from shoppers, and Bellefaire is enouraging people to share the PSA on social media to highlight the issue.

Kiss Me Now, Meet Me Later - Social Experiment

Do you believe in love at first sight? Personally, I don't — but for a self-proclaimed soulless pragmatic like me, it's hard to remain cynical in the face of Jordan Oram's social experiment "Kiss Me Now, Meet Me Later."

Asking strangers to kiss after a brief introduction is a conceit that has been done before and no doubt will be done again, but what separates "Kiss Me Now" from the rest of the pack is the impeccable editing.

These experiments often rely on the element of unfamiliarity juxtaposed with the intimacy of sharing a kiss; by necessity, the majority of such videos focus on the actual act of kissing.

Smoking Kids: Photographer Frieke Janssens' Disturbing Exhibition Questions Youth Culture

With their impeccable retro styling, the kids in Frieke Janssens' "Smoking Kids" photos look like they could be lighting up with Marlene Dietrich or Don Draper. But don't worry: Instead of real tobacco, Janssens handed her young models chalk, cheese sticks, and incense. Digital magic did the rest to capture the ugliness and the not-quite-bygone glamour of lighting up.

Anonymous Asked For Peoples Help To Troll ISIS On 11th December

Online warriors Anonymous have asked its supporters to rally round and take part in a ‘trolling day’ against ISIS. On December 11 they want us all to post a series of satirical memes and pictures of its dead members. They say that this is part of the ongoing war against the militant group that they launched in the wake of the Paris attacks.

This is all aimed at disrupting the ISIS propaganda machine that has found real traction online in recent years. Anonymous are also urging us to take the fight out onto the streets and print out pictures and stick them up. They hope that this kind of action will irradiate the ‘fear’ the group spreads among the worlds population.

Anonymous declare war on ISIS

In a statement Anonymous said:

“You may be wondering why we are ‘trolling’ ISIS and planning all these demonstrations against them. But to understand that you must first see how Isis works. They thrive off of fear they hope that by their actions they can silence all of us and get us to just lay low and hide in fear. But what many forget and even they do is that there are many more people in the world against them than for them.

And that is the goal of this mass uprising, on December 11th we will show them that we are not afraid,we will not just hide in our fear, we are the majority and with our strength in numbers we can make a real difference. We will mock them for the idiots they are.”

Watch a man react to modern technology after 44 years in prison

Otis Johnson was recently released from prison after being locked away for 44 years. He was 25 when his sentence started, and 69 when he was released.

On the outside, he quickly realized the world was a very different place — downright futuristic compared to the world he left behind back in the late 1960s.

In an interview and video for Al Jazeera, Johnson recently visited Times Square in New York City, where he was surprised and confused by the modern technology surrounding him: People "with wires in their ears" listening to music who looked like CIA agents, pedestrians "talking to themselves" on their iPhones, and neon video billboards illuminating storefront windows.

A Girl Began Stripping Down In Public. Her Reason?

As someone who has spent my entire life dealing with body image issues, this video really moved me. A young woman named Jae West stripped down to her underwear and blindfolded herself to help promote an extremely important message. At her feet was a sign that said "I’m standing for anyone who has struggled with an eating disorder or self-esteem issues like me… To support self-acceptance draw a heart on my body."

At first, people just starred, reluctant to approach Jae, but then people really started to get involved. Many people commented on how important the message was, and how brave Jae was for trying to promote it. In a world where we are taught from a very young age to hate our bodies, self-acceptance is a struggle. Hopefully this will inspire more people to promote self love!

Social Experiment Shows Just How Easy It Is To Date Rape Someone

For most of us, getting roofied seems more like an urban myth than anything else.
We know it could happen, but it seems so rare and so foreign, we rarely actually consider the possibility.
YouTuber JoeySalads wants us to know ignorance, in this case, does not equal bliss and drugging a drink is much easier than most of us would like to believe.

In his latest video, Joey conducts a social experiment of sorts; he goes to restaurants and “spikes” unsuspecting customers’ drinks.
He doesn’t actually spike anyone’s drink, but he shows he can while nobody is looking — a scary reminder that date rape is a real threat.

As he writes in the video’s description,
One share can save a life.

So check out the video up top, and share it among your bar hoppin’ pals. They’ll thank you.
