Valdir appeared on brazilian breakfast show Hoje Em Dia, as part of a segment on A Transformação Mais Incrível - a reality show all about people's incredible body modifications and transformations. It appears to be a bit like Channel 4's Bodyshockers.
According to the show's website, Valdir was competing for some sort of prize against Dona Lavina, a woman with massive nails. The on-screen write-up says: "The transformation of Valdir: Tired of the jokes, he switched thinness with many muscles."
