French Roast - Short Animation

This short film comes with a moral lesson – don’t judge a book by its cover. Created by Fabrice O. Jubert, an animator who used to work at DreamWorks, French Roast is about a high-class businessman who forgot his wallet while having coffee at a fancy coffee shop.

To buy him time in finding a solution without getting embarrassed, he keeps on ordering coffee. As the day (and the coffee) goes on, our protagonist meets some characters in the film who eventually help him out of his predicament.

Animation: Reaping For Dummies

Oh now this one really made me smile – Reaping For Dummies is a short animated film by a group of five students on the 3D design and animation course at Idèfagskolen in Tønsberg, Norway. The animation is very fine too – some real care has been taken with rendering the texture of the character’s skin, expressions, clothes etc, it’s funny and it is really nice animation work too, give yourself a few minutes of smile time to enjoy it:
